GranFondoOttawa is once again proud to support The Ontario Lung Association as our charity of choice for 2014.
Their I Love Lungs volunteer crew will be decked out in their red t's helping with registration, at the start/finish, on the road setting manning our 10+ Feed Stations along all 4 ride routes as well as greeting on your return.
Their help is invaluable and we hope you will help us in support of them in our fund raising efforts.
For 2014 we ask riders to work with us to either donate directly or help raise money in support of The Ontario Lung Association’s Respiratory Health Centre, based in Ottawa. Services include: asthma and COPD education; COPD Exercise Maintenance Program with six classes offered each week; Education courses for the community; we also hold Educator Courses for health care professionals including RespTrec© and SpiroTrec© They host meetings of the Transplant Advocacy Association, as many of our patients have had lung transplants, or are awaiting them. The Centre receives over 2,500 visits each year, helping people with lung disease breathe with ease.

Pledge Program:
This year to reward fund raisers and inspire added participation, we are introducing the I Love Lungs Ambassador Program powered by Rebek & Kroes, fueled by Cannondale, Lazer, Norco, Trek, Smith and more....Log on and register as a fund raiser via the OLA website to get started.
Gold ~ riders raising more than $2,500.00 will be offered exclusive Ambassador pricing on the bicycle of their choice from either Cannondale, Norco or Trek.
Silver ~ riders raising more than $1,000.00 will be offered their choice of a pair of Smith Piv-Lock sunglasses or a Lazer helmet.
Bronze ~ riders rising more than $500.00 will be provided a gift pack from a host of event sponsors valued at $100.00 [retail].
Riders can use the link (below) and blast email requests to family, friends and colleagues to support efforts by directing donors to a customized fund raising page whereby they log on, search for a rider/name and make a pledge on-line. Your donors can choose to donate directly to The Lung Association using the online pledge program. Riders or donors can also gather pledge checks/cash & bring them to the OLA tables when they visit the GranFondoOttawa expo.
All donations over $25.00 qualify for a charitable receipt.
Silent Auction
The Silent Auction offers items ranging in value from $100.00 gift certificates at local shops & restaurants to pro cycling jerseys to complete bikes as well as trips.
The bidding will remain open until July 19th as we aim to attract at least the minimum bid whereby winners will be notified and payment arrangements made.
